"mom, the internet is out!!" this is what I heard when I got up yesterday. I did what anyone in this day and age does. I went straight to the modem and sure enough, 1 of the lights was off. Ok. I unplugged it and waited the 30 seconds that seemed to drag on fore-v-e-r. It comes back on and still 1 of the lights is out. I grab my phone and proceed to call the cable company. Go through the automated troubleshooting and finally get to an agent. At this point, I am beyond frustrated. Why can't I wake up to hugs and kisses instead of something that I have to fix. Me and the lady on the phone go through all the steps to figure out what is wrong. Finally, she has me go to the router so I can try a different cable on it. Guess what?? Router is off. Why?? I look around and for some reason it is unplugged. I plug it back in, everything comes on and works as it should.
After laughing with the agent and getting off the phone I call to my wonderful daughter. I ask her if she unplugged anything by the desk, "Yeah, I needed to plug in my phone" What?? Mic drop!! I can't help but laugh. That is how my day was yesterday. How was yours?
